The Society brings together medical experience, methodological expertise, ethics and patient perspectives.
Contributing to the Society and eligibility for independent medical engagements are distinct matters.
Membership is not a certificate of competence. It creates no entitlement to a positive assessment or preferential presentation of one’s own organisation.
Forms of participation
Medical professional membership
For professional exchange and contributions to requirements and methods. Membership does not automatically confer eligibility for independent advisory or review engagements.
Scientific and interdisciplinary contribution
For contributions from methodology, ethics, quality development and other relevant disciplines.
Patient perspective
To improve understanding, decision quality, appropriate complaints pathways and consideration of the actual concerns of people affected.
Institutional participation
For transparently regulated participation by organisations, without entitlement to preferential assessment, presentation or professional influence through higher payments.
Clarifying the 20-year rule
The 20-year rule applies to independent medical advisory and outcome-review roles, not to everyone contributing to standards.
Invitation to experienced physicians
Physicians with at least 20 years of relevant experience who no longer conduct commercial aesthetic treatment business may express interest in a qualification assessment.
An expression of interest does not confer eligibility.
